We have become preservation breeders of Boston Terriers. What does that mean? What it means for us is that we put forth our best efforts to breed Bostons to the standard written for the breed. This would include health testing as a tool to make good breeding decisions. With that being said, health testing doesn't mean that dogs that are produced will always be completely problem free. That isn't realistic. There are far too many factors with genes, gene suppression or expression, and environmental factors to be able to make promises like that. Preservation breeders use tools, testing, and information to make the best decisions that they can to produce happy healthy dogs conforming to the Boston Terrier standard.
